My Heartthrob

by Natalie   Nov 16, 2010

I was alone & thought a part of me had died,
I looked up & saw you close to my side,
Our eyes locked & you gave me a full smile,
My heart throbbed!

I saw your face later through the crowd,
Your dimples should not have been allowed,
As you made your move over,
My heart throbbed!

Before I knew it you were next to me,
We were dancing, smiling, laughing, all playfully,
You put your hands on my sides,
My heart throbbed!

I didn't want our evening to end,
I could feel myself append,
You stole a kiss and that was it,
My heart throbbed!

~Written for my boyfriend who's in Afghanistan right now. He's always wondering why I call him my Heartthrob.
