Will you ever grow?

Now that I am quiet and listen,
I learn that you just don't seem to care.
Your mind is everywhere else rather than
where it should be.

I bite down on my cheeks so that I
can't help you with this one.
You need to prove yourself and show that
you want to grow and prosper.

I want to stay and yet
think that I should go.
If I help you then you will
never grow.

Now stuck between two firewalls
do I keep my heart and thoughts in
or do I take them with me
while still in tact and look for another fire?
