IF

If you are blind in both eyes-what would color mean?
If the heart is made of stone-what would love mean?
If what is broken can't be mended-what would forgiveness mean?
If things are already forgiven-what would hatred mean?

This poem is elemental and profound.
With your forgiveness, it inspired my response:

It may just be the moment, but I thought this piece was so good, that I voted it for the weekly contest as well as added it to my favourites.

It was simple, short and powerful. I'm very impressed. I liked it a lot. When I saw the same word being used to rhyme every word, I thought this wasn't going t be very good, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. Even though you didn't really rhyme, and your words were quite basic, and it was such a short piece, I felt this poem had depth, wisdom and maturity. Well done.
