RIP

by Willow   Dec 12, 2010

She lays a single flower
At the base of a white cross
She wants to say something
But no words come, she is at a lose
She looks at their tear streaked faces
She knows that words won't help
She wonders how they are coping
Wonders how they truly felt
Have they picked up the pieces of their lives
Or are they still laying on the floor
Do the know how to keep going
Are they really sure
A tears rolls down her cheek
As she thinks about what they all lost
Such a beautiful person taken from them
Leaving broken hearts as a cost
She remembers that day so clearly
Remembers the exact moment her world cracked
She had to grip the table for balance
The she cried and panicked
She can see the funeral now
The tears on her grandmothers cheeks
Someone had to hold her up
As the ceremony completes
How they keep going is a miracle
They are such strong people
As she embraces the she whispers her love in their ears
Immediately their tears triple
She can see the heart ache in their eyes
And knows hers are very much the same
Nobody should have to bury their child
And live with this incredible pain
