Memories

by Willow   Dec 12, 2010

It plays out like a film in her head
All the tears, pain and regret
She can hear the last sentence they spoke
Feel her own response leave her lips
They are just like everyone else
Always taking, never giving back
Her body trembles with unshed tears
As she recalls his last touch
Everything about the memories hurt
Her heart is still broken and sore
She gives into the pain
And cries til her eyes are swollen
She pulls her pillow close to her chest
She can feel her heart breaking again
The tears run freely now
The memories crowd in tight
She lays her head down
No longer in control of her mind
Everything used to so perfect
But as usual its gone to s***
She closes her eyes in effort to calm down
Immediately his face comes to mind
With a big tear rolling down her cheek
She pushes it aside to concentrate on sleep
The memories are slowly becoming easier to bear
But there is one more vivid than the rest
As she realizes what it is
Her body begins to relax
Now she is falling asleep
Holding onto the memory of his voice
