A poem in my pocket and the world in my hands

by Graves Mortuary   Dec 19, 2010

Hello my love, here I am once again
Standing here before you
With an angel on my shoulder
And my heart in my hand
I have never ever forgotten
What your love means to me
Although we fight and carry on
You and I were meant to be
Time apart is good
But time alone forever
Is like drinking good wine
Without the bursting flavor
What I feel for you
Is something I can't describe
Although it ashames us
I never felt the need to hide
So here I am once again
Standing here before you
With a poem in my pocket
And the world in my hands
Begging for forgiveness
And pleading for what's meant to be
It's something only a blind man
Would never be able to see
Friendship is good
But true love is even better
It's like dancing in a storm
But the rain doesn't matter
What I have found in you
Is a treasure hard to find
I only hope you discover it too
Somewhere down the line
