So you say that you don't like Christmas..

So you say that you don't like Christmas
Know that I consider that a little sad
I fear you've never felt the joy and magic
That inspire a heartfelt Feliz Navidad

On the one hand I can sympathize with you
For there are so many reasons to be blue
But I don't think you've made a Ginger Man
Then eaten it with a child that's just two

I'm not saying you should build a Manger
Or remember the Reindeers' names to recite
But I hope you someday recall how Happy
Grandma was this Jolly but Silent Night

The Christmas Songs may seem too familiar
As each of the Twelve Days are marked off
But listen between the songs and you might
Notice you no longer hear Tiny Tim cough

The commercialism can be too much at times
I would agree that to be true I'm afraid
But material things aren't of any concern
Where the serviceman's Wreath was just laid

Stockings, Caroling, Gift Giving, Ornaments
Aren't what makes this such a great Holiday
Just look up at the North Star and imagine
The Three Kings but watch out for that Sleigh!

So whether you find yourself at the North Pole,
The beach or in-between this Holiday Season
Take stock in what you have and I'm sure
You'll Thank Goodness you found the reason

For the Christmas Holidays are the time
To forget the past and embrace the Present
And remind each other there's no better time
To celebrate with them than this blessed event

Merry Xmas everyone!!
