Yesterday Today and Tomorrow

Here I am
Walking away
Taking my time
And losing today

Not looking back
On the memories we had
Trying to be positive
Without regrets and nothing bad

Keeping in mind
Today is a gift
That people are humans
Mindsets can shift

Tomorrow is the future
A mystery to me
So I'm trying to live life
To the fullest it can be

Without feeling badly
On what yesterday had brought
But learning from the downfalls
Each lesson that I'm taught

Trying to be thankful
Without being greedy
Because my heart is safe
There's not place for needy
