To Die Young

by Ross H Bruce   Jan 10, 2011

O how precious young life could be;
Horizon ahead - a journey to the valleys of sea.
But rapture looms & mortal falls
With angel tears in Heaven's wall.

Behold! Deep slumber is just as sweet;
Darkling shadow prolong thy sleep.
Forlorn breath, prophetic dream;
Become death - nature's evil scheme.

O futile soul what become of thee?
Gasping for breath, have you failed to see;
The scene of life, the life of sins
Then to bid farewell in misery.

O to die young - an enigmatic state;
Master of faith casts the final fate!
Bless the mortals with flesh & lust;
Then curse the breathless into specks of dust.
