Close Your Eyes

by Ross H Bruce   Jan 18, 2011

When you close your eyes what do you see?
Nothingness surrounds you - intriguing mystery.
Blinding darkness bedazzles your eyes;
Sparkling blackness bewilders your mind.

Smell the white roses on the thorny vines,
Hear the nightingales soar the darkened sky,
Feel the misty breeze caressing your thighs,
Taste the sweetest nectar your heart desires.

Imagine the wonders of a dauntless dream;
Make it real, not a foolish whim.
Realize the ecstasy of your fantasy,
Have wisdom to void it from reality.

Future is a vision that won't last:
Laws of nature shall forever clash.
Be honest with yourself - set it free;
Close your eyes if you wish to see.
