However.

by Yakari Gabriel   Jan 18, 2011

Have you ever held on to something you knew was wrong,
ignoring conscience.

Lost in that place
they call

-self denial-

yet,
there was something so magical
about its beauty

I found me-
between meaningless
and meaningful

Meaningless to blood,
for it wouldn't want me if it knew.

Meaningful to self,
for no longer would I have to
care about the superficial.

Because,
this goes deeper.

In them I found a constant lust.

However in her,
I found love..

I found this love poem to be a little different from the ones you normally find on this site and for that reason I loved it.

This was a mature write that really speaks to the reader

Gosh I loved this, I know exactly what you're talking about. We do tend to hold onto things that will only cause us more pain, more discomfort, ect. for some odd reason that's just how it is, but the love we have for a person or thing we can't let go of it no matter how hard we try to. Loved your thoughts here, they were portrayed rather well.
