I use to believe that Princes Charming only belonged in Fairy Tales.
I thought that true love was only found in the movies.
I did not want a man in my life.
I thought that I was perfectly happy with my life the way it was-
Just my kids and me.
But then one day out of the blue you walked right into my life.
I was scared to death,
And didnâdid notwant to give you a chance.
I knew that you would be like all of the rest in the end-
I just knew that you were not real,
And you would leave me and break my heart.
I am not sure what ever made me decide to give you a chance-
Maybe it was our friends,
Or the fact that you chased me for months and never gave up.
I never thought that there would ever be a time in my life,
Where I could walk into a room,
And light up someone's eyes,
The way that your beautiful eyes light up when I walk in.
I never thought that there would be a man out there,
That when we were together he would be proud to have me on his arm.
I never thought that I would ever hear a man tell me how beautiful I am,
And actually believe him.
I use to believe that Prince Charming only belonged in Fairy Tales-
But now I know that Prince Charming really does exist-
You are my Prince Charming.
I use to think that true love was only found in movies-
But then I found you.
You are my True Love,
And I never want you to go.
I want to spend the rest of my life with you,
And have our Happily Ever After,
That really does exist.
