So many love her.

by Black Heart Still Beating   Jan 30, 2011

How I miss my friend.
She sits there,
Oh so many love her,
Oh so many do.
She got caught in their music,
let them take her away.
I hear her sing their songs now,
and see her dance their dance.

She wouldn't even hum our tunes,
but now she belts their words.
Nor would her feet even stumble
along with our awkward rhythms,
yet her feet dance on air with them.

We watch,
the rest of us who love her,
as they take her hand and ask for the next dance,
of course she goes,
she dances fast, and she sings loud.
The rest of us who love her,
we sit along the walls,
waiting for our song.
Maybe this will change it all,

When our lyrics come,
She goes to sit with them,
We grab her hands and plead her to stay
she does as we plead, but still pulls away
but we can all see her stairs of longing at them,
the rest who love her,

We don't know what to do.
We miss her so,
but we can't make her stay.
But we love her to.
just as they do...

Our song goes,
shifts back to theirs.
And we are pushed aside,
some of us fall,
We are not recognized anymore.

She doesn't know our lyrics,
or remember our raspy voices,
she cant dance to our beats,
or know where they come from,
She doesn't know us anymore,

She doesn't seem to care,
But we love her to,
just as oh so many do..
