Life, Death, and In Between

by DarknessInMySoul   Feb 11, 2011

Grey tendrils drifting up in the darkness
The fire consumes the darkness with its light
It will suffocate you, don’t assume less
The fire burns the edges of twilight
Wind whispers across the land, silently
The earth holds all life, death, and in between
The wind swirls through the trees, very gently
A new moon rises and lights up the green
Dew drops alight the red roses at dawn
Ice hardens, stiffening our broken hearts
We quench our thirst, knowing we’ll soon be gone
Ice fills the cracks of poisonous black darts
An eclipse of darkness blocks out the light
When the stars come out, you know its right.
