Tomorrow

by Lauren Waszkiewicz   Mar 10, 2011

I could die tomorrow.
Would my life have been worthwhile?
You could die tomorrow.
Would you be consumed with sorrow?
The world could end tomorrow.
And yet what would be the point?

Would you be happy with who you've become?
With what you've done?
How many times, you glanced at the sun?

If the world went dark, would you have the image in your mind?
Of the dearest, precious times?
When you saw her perfect smile?
Or has it been awhile-
Since you really took a gander?
When truthfully, was the last time you meandered?
Looking only for a rose or tulip,
spent the day watching the golden dew drip?

Have you spent enough time,
looking at the little things in life?
