Goodbye for good

Sitting in the car listening to our song tears flowing from my eyes
I'm realizing that it's time to say goodbye
its breaking my heart to think about this
but this has got to end
but I'm holding on to every memory of us
but the old times we had just isn't enough
they aren't enough to change what has happened
they aren't enough to make me do it all over again
all the smiles and the laughs will stay only as memories
bc I can't be missing you while they are missing me
he needs me and she needs her dad
but yet I'm trying to hold onto what we once had
I can't be doing this we are long over
and my baby girl needs her mother
so ill let go of the past and what we might have become
I can no longer think about you I'm done
so this is a painful goodbye this time its going to last
