Envision better days

Close my eyes and envision
better days put the misery away
and focus on a better way.

Sway not from the path set before me.
Knowing that this life had to hold
something more for me.

These words weigh heavy on my mind
at times feel so much pain things just
ain't the same.

Place no blame life is change
move forward always keeping focus
though the thought come like locust.

Try to speak words that bring hope
seems I was asleep but then I awoke
and I see that this world can be such
a wicked place.
