Divorce

by Sarah   Mar 17, 2011

Wandering in a sea of loneliness I roam,
Searching to find a place to call home,
Living in the memories of yesterday,
Wishing the pain would just go away.

I'm melting in this pot of pain and fear,
Wondering how long I'll stay here,
Falling to the depths of endlessness,
Wrapped in ice and loneliness.

Here I continue to lie in wait,
Searching for the man in the white cape,
Willing to save me from myself,
Willing to fix what else is left.

I am sorry for all the pain I feel,
I am sorry for all the lies you conceal,
I wish I could take away your pain,
I wish your love was mine again.

Why did it have to end like this,
Why leave a whole shaped like your fist,
Why did you have to stab so deep,
Why not just try to take that leap.

Trust was all I ever desired,
But lies you fed me fueled a fire,
This anger may never be put out,
My hate for you I will continue to shout.
