A name lost

I lost my name today
forgot who i was
how she spoke
the things she does

a welcomed confusion
she's given a future
a new life that's
beating through her

i became whole today
presented with a name
words said then repeated
i vowed to remain

forever, through worse
and better, until death.
i do. as we take in
our very first breath
