Mardi Gras

by out of death   Feb 25, 2009

In a sea of people, a vision
of the drowning.
I hear a million sounds but
the trumpet sounding.
The lost and the weeping, hidden behind
a can of tears.
The shouting and the dancing constant hiding
insecurities and fears.
In the midst of chaos and confusion, there was
one who stood alone
Dodging sin being thrown, bringing
hope for tomorrow.
He came with a crowd, but they
gave into the passing high.
But the one stood firm, as if clothed
in armor.
He grabbed a hand reaching out, so that
nothing would harm her.
Together they discovered what was there
all along.
Awakened to a dream, the one who kept
him strong.
Where as she was once with those living
in desperation,
She had been picked up and clothed
in pure adoration.

*Meant to be of a person going into the world with a crowd of believers, but they all ditch him... While he was in chaos, he reached out in love for a girl that was lost and confused and awakened her from a nightmare and showed her his dream that kept him going...*
