Your new life

by nikki   Apr 18, 2011

Some say love's forever a bond,
One that can't be broken,
But leave your opinion until the end,
Until after my last word's spoken.

Can you not look me in the eyes
Because I remind you of your past?
Of all the terrible things you did
To the family you had last?

It seemed just too easy for you
To walk right out that door
While the pieces of our broken family
Lay scattered on the floor

Now you've got a perfect new family
One to love, protect and provide for
But what about your other kids?
The ones you loved before..

I hope, sometimes, in your perfect world
You think of your previous life,
Of the family that you traded in
for 3 new kids and a wife.
