The Accompany of Love

by Jaymi Lynn   Apr 24, 2011

A kiss blown is a kiss wasted,
The only true kiss is a kiss tasted.
You are lost in a trance of ecstasy delights,
Where lust is taken to forbidden heights.

Just like moons and suns
With the accompany of stars,
You are hypnotized and tricked
Into the deepest desires of the heart.

Lust wears the mask of mischief
With a cape of immortality,
Seducing your weak mind further
From the pressures of reality.

It hides no shame and transforms
Into what you think you want
But love appears as itself, so pure and content,
Creating sensations that lust could never invent.

Accompanied with love comes
Trust and intimacy, with a
Certainty of security that
Lust can never bring.

So, between Love & Lust.. Love is the winner :)

Amazing opening, Jami, I really like its rhyming scheme. I hoped I'd see the other stanzas rhyming, but they are great actually :)

Your first stanza was perfection. You got a bit off the track when you really began to open up your feelings. But over all I thought it was a really good poem. Sweet and loving
