The Token

by Mads Avnboeg   May 1, 2011

I "my" Gothic gal
I never meant to hurt your heart
Drag you through the sea of pain
The long nights of sorrow
I had no idea, had no idea
I most have seemed cold hearted
As if I had a heart of stone
But it has always been a heart of gold
For you to hold and have
You should have knocked on my door
In middle of the day
Not while I were walking on a slant
No one, who had partying that hard,
Has a clue about anything, other than breathing
And that may even cause difficulties
Now my heart bleeds
For the pain I unknowingly
Inflicted your heart
If I could take it back
I would and even triple it up
Take my heart
As token
Of my grief
I don't need it
No more :-/
