The ray

by Mads Avnboeg   Apr 13, 2019

I’ve got a little sunshine in today
I got a little sunshine in to my dark
A little ray of light in to my dark, dark day
To cast a tiny light on my way
Lighting up my path
Ever so soft
Now I see which way to fall
I can close my eyes
Not scared of where to land
Cause it’s not in my hands
I’m free to roam in my dark lighted space
In which I’ll leave no trace

A little chink of light - no matter how small - is the only light we need to see our way out of the darkness.
Sad piece but one with a glimmer of hope, nonetheless. By the way, should the last line read "In which I'll leave no trace"?

    Anyway, all the very best,
    Ben
