The Fruit

by Mads Avnboeg   May 7, 2011

I picked a berry
Sweet and mellow
Oh the taste remains
Round and mild
So rich in flavor
I have never tasted a fruit
So exquisite since
The tang of this one
Lingers a live time
That I do not have
To seek it anymore
Cause it has become apart of me
Rooted in my Code
Sweet and mellow
In my bones and marrow
I'll carry it with me
Wherever I go
