Embalming Fluid

by GrimExpectations   May 16, 2011

To make Embalming Fluid,
Its rather easy to do.
To keep this body,
Forever here with you.

One part Love,
Two parts Joy.
Mix the blood with formaldehyde,
And Ethanol to help destroy.

Take a picture,
Of just me and you.
Now burn it to ash,
Like you always wanted to.

Sweet words,
whispered with care.
A blood soaked rag,
From these scars I bare.

Our first kiss,
Awkward and tender.
Part of my heart,
The one you made shatter

Take all the love,
I gave to you.
And melt it with the razors,
Couldn't carve you out.

You loved me,
So long ago.
And when you left,
My soul did to.

So here I am now,
A cadaver of sorts.
Forever destroyed by you,
You embalming fluid a success.

It's been a while since i've read a poem this good. i am much more of an afficionado of simple poetry than the complicated worded ones. i guess what im trying to say is that i love your poem, just a little proof reading and it will be perfection. beautiful.
