No one to blame

The first lie, the first deception;
Made me forget the first time kiss;
The first time holding hands,
Made me recall the things I had to miss.
Can I do the same and take a look
At your life and your soul?
Can I be you for one day
And you be me, as we switch the role?
Holding hands and looking straight to my eyes,
You can tell me all those lies.
Faking your affection for me,
Love was lost; as now I can see.
Your silence should have been enough,
For me to know that there was no love.
I know I cannot do the same,
Life to me now looks so lame.
As you depart in search of fame.
Now I have no one to blame.
