Death.. seen through a child\'s eyes

My name is Sikindu I'm only four,
Tonight a soldier knocked on my door,
My mummy said to be quiet and not to make a sound,
But in they came and my mum they found,
As i hid in a cupboard i spied through a crack,
My neighbours yelling we're under attack
My mummy looked frightened she looked sad,
The soldier hit her, he hurt her real bad,
More soldiers came pouring through the door,
i don't understand? what was this for?
I see some guns, mum starts to scream,
I start to wonder, could this be a bad dream,
but then i realise, we're going to die,
My mum's on her knees she begins to cry,
Two guns are held to her head,
Bang, bang, I see my mummy dead,
A blanket of blood, covers the ground,
I try not to sob, my tears the only sound,
I see the light begin to fade away,
My mummy died, in front of me.. Today
