Graveside Answer

by Lil Vamp   May 27, 2011

I came to visit again,
A tear drops down my cheek
The dirt has been untouched
As the grave sits so neatly
The grass is still green
Artificial like my smiles
The flowers have wilted
Just like my soul
I stand all alone
As I am in the world
I know children should bury their parents
But not like this
I look up towards the sky
The clouds gray,
They want to cry,
So I will shed their tears
I try to talk about you,
Keep the memories alive
I continue to hold on
To every little piece of you
All the tiny shards I have left
I have to believe
In some kind of after-life
That someday I'll see you again
But I question it
I need to know
That you're watching out for me
Leading me in the right path
Telling me what to do,
But some days I wonder
As I stand here
Crying my tears on your grave
Placing the flowers near your head
I have to ask myself
Can you see me
Can you wipe my tears
Suddenly a slight breeze
A chill runs down my spine
I have my answer
You never fully left.
