WHEN SECRETS COME BACK

by Arlene Remy   Jun 4, 2011

Its hard sometimes in silence
when your brain knows a truth you hide
and its screaming the lies you are claiming
pretending to be on your side
but the truth is a ghostly whisper
that haunts your inner mind
and the cursed and blessed tranquility
is a luxury you cannot find

In a sinful heart of hatred
where murder seems just and fair
and anger masks your sorrow
where frustration hides your care
the pain of truth is golden
if your heart refuses to lie
nothing matters in a broken world
no one deserves to cry

I painted my world in black and white
and froze my heart in its place
I cursed my femininity of emotions
and masks expressions that summons my face
there is nothing left to hold on to
but i could stand in the face of my shame
I admit my actions my have been wrong
but you are still the one to blame.
