Get Off The Internet & Go Outside

by Jeff Weiner   Jun 6, 2011

As I sit here pounding these keys
I wonder who really cares,
Many read and comment
but is friendship truly there,

Lying is so easy
when you dont see a face,
They dont hear what they want
and disappear without a trace,

The internet is an escape
for those who cant handle reality,
For the rest of us
its a place where we can be free,

Telling stories, sharing our day
keeping friends up to date,
Be careful what you say on here
when you hit Enter it might be too late,

Pictures get posted
and I wonder if they are recent,
some people get carried away
putting up ones not decent,

Honesty is a virtue
not honored by most on the net,
If its your only form of communication
Then you have to settle for what you can get,

Get out of your chair
Go out and meet people for real,
walk around and exercise
and see how good it can feel
