Frozen in time

by Mads Avnboeg   Jun 8, 2011

Blissful the rain falls
Soft and mellow
Upon my face
Where it hide my tears

Under my hardened skin
Lays a tender heart
Pumping life into
In this seemingly dead shell

In my mind run thoughts
Around in circles
And they are all about you

Sitting among your friends
Smiling having fun
A beauty so breathtaking
That I couldn't take my eyes of you
Sorry for that indiscretion

Sorry for being that impolite
Of not asking your name
And telling how your smiles lightens up the room
The sparkling of your eyes,
Melts my heart

Sorry for being a mute fool
With a soft spot
Under this hardened skin
Frozen in time
