Scream

by Renegade Angel   Jun 11, 2011

The gripping of sheets

The hot tears that fall like tendrils of hair

My mind is in a frenzy, and I try to grasp the nightmares that spiral around me.

Only, the nightmares are real.

The dank emptiness, and lonely feel.

The bitter taste of anger and tears make me flee to the only safe haven. My room.

Sleep overcomes me and I try to rest, but my shouts only grow louder

People only look onward, not at me.

This emotional sea of agony.

Screams lap over me in this sea of agony.

This turmoil only makes me swim faster and faster.

Faster.

Faster.

Only to never reach the sand.

To never know the cool feeling of sand, only the drowning sensation of screams.

Further and further away, until I wake up only to go back to the horror of reality.

Wow where can I start... This is an AMAZING write!
So many words and sentences stood out to me in ways I relate and view life...

I love these parts the most..

"Only, the nightmares are real." - I can truly relate to this

"People only look onward, not at me." - ... and this...

"This emotional sea of agony." - love the way you have described this

    Giving this a 5/5
