And I Will Hold You

by Ivan Kushnir   Jun 13, 2011

Gloomy,
dark grey skies above us
wind shaking all the tops of trees

and you and I
we stand on top of
a hill
beneath a willow tree

the waters of the pond get bigger
waves start to form
birds fly away
but in the distance
swans are swimming
together, always, they will stay

we'll stand beneath the shaking willow
beneath the rain
against the wind
i'll hold you close
and feel you shiver
i'll keep you warm
don't worry dear

and that's how I will always hold you
just like the swans
depsite the storm
I won't let go or leave you lonely
here in my arms you're not alone
