Thoughts Of A Dieing Broken Heart

by Ivan Kushnir   Jun 13, 2011

Cold, snow covered fields
snug in my jacket, standing
looking afar, just by myself
lonely, in peace, I'm standing

take in a cold filled breath
arms shiver slightly
same arms that long ago
once had you hugged inside them

snow crushing, underneath my feet
slowly I walk into the distance
slowly I fade away from sight
remembering, just as you did this
and left my heart, frozen inside
then shattered it to pieces

red, burning cheeks and running nose
from love the cold wind gives me
and though it hurts,
the gust and snow
it's still more love
than you did, ever give me

frozen alone, laying on snow
beneath a lonely birch tree
and I can barely feel my pulse
slowly I'm dieing lonely
I'm sad to say, that being here
just with the tree beside me
is still less lonely than with you
goodbye dear world, I'm dieing happy
