A Tribute To The Past

by Jeff Weiner   Jun 19, 2011

I swirl and twirl all around
my body sings without a sound,
Humming tunes inside my head
at a concert for the Grateful Dead,

Colors fly through my mind
imagery of the psychedelic kind,
smoke and comfort fill the air
nobody here seems to care,

Everybody is an instant friend
caring and sharing, a lovely trend,
the music is over but not gone
inside our hearts it still lives on,

years have past but I remember still
those days spent up on that hill,
How I wish to go back again
and visit Jerry, my long lost friend,

Rest in peace
