Love?

Something that nobody would suspect,
from reading the poem I'm writing,
is that I'm fighting back floods of tears,
in order to see what I'm typing.

I don't dare release my army of broken dreams,
Who knows what damage a hurting young girl can do?
Nobody cares to listen,
to all that I'm going through, alone.

I am often surrounded by many a friend,
talking, laughing, smiling,
but do any of them really care?
Do any of them know me?

My one and only, i love him so,
but would he ever give the time?
and i doubt he'd care if i told him,
i hate my so-called life.
