This Love

I want to tell a story,
Of a scared, && broken girl.
Who in a week's time,
Found herself in a different world.

You see, this lonely girl
Had become used to being hurt.
Being mistreated && abused,
Being treated like she was dirt.

Her heart had been broken,
Her soul, used && torn.
She found herself often,
Regretting being born.

Heartbreak after heartbreak,
An object of lust.
Being used for sexual pleasure,
&& Breaking her trust.

She nearly gave up,
The last time was too much.
Til this boy came along,
With such a gentle touch.

His blue-green eyes shined,
&& His face just seemed to glow.
Something about him drew her in,
&& Feelings began to grow.

It started with a simple date,
&& Quickly turned to love.
&& Shortly after she realized,
He's the one that she dreamt of.

She knew inside, that they would fight,
&& They'd go through some tests.
But, everything was worth it,
'Cause without him, she'd be a mess.

Every smile, every laugh,
She falls for him some more.
&& With each kiss she thinks,
"He's the one for me, I'm sure."

Past mistakes may haunt them,
But she knows if they just try,
They could conquer the world together,
This love can't be denied.

Her prince had finally come to save her,
Her heart can finally heal.
&& In her soul, she knows this time
This love, is truly real.
