The Color Of Her Eyes

by Freeze Tyler   Jul 19, 2011

Her eyes are the same color as the seas
Which fuel the hurricanes.
They bring a strong man to his knees,
And a weak on to the grave.
They can wash away the pain,
And bring it back with one wink.

Her eyes are the same color as the green
Skies during a tornado.
She'll blow a kiss to me,
If I'm lucky.
And when I'm empty
She'll blow me up. But it's not real.

Her eyes are the same color as the guts
Of a volcano.
And depending on where she puts
Her hands, my world catches on fire.
Can't really describe how she tends to inspire,
But the anger in her eyes makes me smile.

Her eyes are the same color as the bubbles
From me drowning.
But she is too busy smiling,
At all of my troubles.
And when she squints her eyes just a little,
My world rumbles then crumbles.

Her eyes are the same color as the debris
From tornadoes.
A dark shaded tent of almost black
That socks me and knocks me back.
It shocks me that
Those eyes even have that ability.

Her heart is the same color as dried lava.
Black, solid, and unable to ease upon.
Doesn't let go of what it has in its grasp,
At the same time throwing around my world.
She drowns out any bit of continuity
I have within my thoughts without her.
