Like shattered glass

by Judy kumar   Jul 22, 2011

We were made of glass
ready to be shattered
we were made of love
that quickly faded outward
this story doesn't get any better
but you can tell it any how

how your kisses hurt day after day
and how your lies found a place to stay

how i told myself love doesn't exist
and how we both cried about it

how the rooftops they tell it all
every memory we lost

and the tears we shed

its quiet now
and i wear that black hood that covers my face

so when tears do fall
no one can see them falling

i guess we really are broken
