Patriarchal Religion

Woman, can you not see

the crime committed by man in this dependency

submission is the rule of patriarchy

women with no voice on a policy

to try to influence, brings excommunication for apostasy

shunned if you believe in equal power between genders

the implication

is renunciation

by sexist offenders

woman, can you not see

patriarchal religions say to walk with less dignity

woman, hold your head the Highest

for they try to coerce, with a belief that is perverse

by not loving a gender that is diverse

a God given conscience, each of us have

to know right from wrong in our path

each religion has some positivity

do not be blind to man-made negativity

listen to your Soul

man will dig his own hole

an imbalance of power brings corruption

equal power in the church is the correction

women holding the priesthood, the only saving grace

for man and woman, to meet face to face.
