Between daylight and darkness

As the sun fades and darkness arrives
there is a magical time where shadows and sunlight play
where it is neither bright nor dark
but a peaceful shade of gray

Where the world seems to slow down
and people start to change gears
slowing down from life
and time to face their fears

For in the darkness
you can not see under your bed
and thought and voices
begin to fill your head

Things hide in the shadows
they could be friends or foe
and without light
you will never know

So enjoy this changing time
to get everything in it place
and close your eyes tight
so you can't see darkness's face.
