Words whisper meanings
If only to me
They bring me life
So suddenly
They turn my soul to anger and wrath
And all I do is just laugh back
They give hope
only to me
These are just words
But oh, they effect me
So does hope
As false as it can be
Yet it holds a future for me
I grip on to hope
as it bleeds from me
Much like sap to a tree
I see the release
Of my hopes and dreams
Yet I hold them tight
'till I'm dead they stay with me
