Hand...in...Hand

Am I stupid for loving someone with my whole heart?,
Even when we’re so far apart?.
He is amazing, a wonderful friend,
I wish our time together will never end.
I know how he feels, I get his ways,
My feelings for him will never be set ablaze.
I wish we could walk hand in hand,
Because everything about me, he understands.
The way I think,
The way I work,
The way I feel,
The way I am,
Everything about me, he understands.
I tell him my secrets, and he tells me his,
As I get butterflies, and my feelings start to fizz.
One day I wish we can be together,
Walking hand in hand forever.
