The story of 2 best friends who ended as total strangers

It all started in 5th grade
we were 2 best friends having fun
by the end of 5th grade i moved away
and then came back in the middle of 6th grade
a couple things had changed
but still we continued 2 be best friends
then before the end of 6th grade, i left again
i came back again in middle school and a lot more things had changed but not our friendship
i was new and we had a lot of things to catch up on
you told me your crush, a few weeks passed, and before i knew it, he was my crush too
when i confessed my feelings to you, you acted as if you were over him, but i knew that wasn't true
some time later you made new friends and i knew your mom was OK with it since she never liked me
she thought of me as "bad influence"
on valentine's day, you apologized to me
we kept on as best friends again
some time later i made new friends and without knowing, i stopped paying attention to you
i wish that back then i had apologized to you because maybe that way we might of still been friends today
but 2 years have passed now and every time we're around each other at school, we act like total strangers
