Off The Earth

by Kissa   Aug 14, 2011

Maybe it'd be better if I dropped off the earth,
Maybe reborn, this time perfect at birth,
Ever stood alone, through chaos and commotion,
And come across a saddening notion?

Imagine yourself never to be born,
A deep self-loathing, a feeling of torn,
No hope of a new day, no faith is a curse,
Just hope of a space in the back of a hearse.

Each scar is a story you take to the grave,
No one needs to know when they think you're brave,
They push you down and walk right by,
Still down, you assure yourself it's OK to cry.

Crying doesn't last, theres only so many tears,
Scars never fade, just bring back the years,
Hiding doesn't compensate, you never even existed,
Hope isn't possible, you're too pessimistic.

So if you ever did come across that notion,
Alone in the chaos and commotion,
But past it by with a new day re-birthed,
Think yourself lucky as I drop off the earth.
