I Thought I Saw Angel

Early in the morning
As the sun lit up the room
I opened up my eyes
And thought that I saw you.

I knew it couldnt be
Because you're not around
Yet my eyes did see
A silohuette of golden brown.

My ears heard nothing
But my soul felt blue
And two birds flew outside
As if they saw you too.

Through the day I pondered
And wondered in my silence
If you had come to see me
During the quiet evening.

In the night our sleeps cross
Early in the morning hours
So that we sleep together
Though our paths wont blend forever.

I awoke this quiet morning
Feeling you beside me,
So you can understand
Why I thought that you were by me.

It must have been a dream
What I felt today so well
When I sensed you in a stream
And I thought I saw an angel.
