The Shrouded Dawn

by labirynth   Aug 20, 2011

Long silence breaks the ground,
As the sun cracks the trunks of the trees.
The leaves fall, the insects find their homes,
As the dark cloud shelters my lonely heart.

And the wind blows again,
As the pain finds the deepest of my soul.
The pity prey threatened by the hungry beast,
And the laughter's gone, as the love in my heart dies!

The rain ruins the silent roof,
As I endure the sound of my tears.
And the knife cuts every memory,
As the paper after use, scrambled, and burn!
