Lost

As days go on, and time moves forward I look towards escape
Imprisoned am I in this world of confusion and helplessness.
Why do I feel so incomplete
I see strangers in people who were once so close.
bonds fall apart and despair takes over.
Yearning for the days that tasted sweet,
And the times that the sun shone on my side.
Those were a different age, a different time.
Gone and lost are they to times grasp.
Now I look towards god for solace,
Afterall he is the only one who has not yet left me
Nor hurt me, nor kept me bound in this abyss of despair
Even the chains of frienship just fading away
The bridge that kept it strong, shattered and crumbling.
My poor heart can't keep up, not able to understand all this,
It feels like I'm walking through mist,
Trying to find that light to lead me on,
Only, theres no light, no warmth,
The darkness envelops me and loneliness creeps all over.
Yet seeking that one true destination I move forward,
Into the unknown,
Will this journey ever have its happy ending,
Will I find the light I seek,
Only time will tell.....
