Little Jenny

by werty   Aug 22, 2011

Jenny was all happy,

She would go to her new cottage next week,

9-year-old little Jenny,

Has wanted a cottage for years.

Before she got to this point,

The only thing stopping her,

Was that she was in that stupid binder,

The one were all the orphan's names,

Were written until new parents claimed her.

Little Jenny was abandoned by her biological parents,

Her dad's drinking was too apparent,

Her mom's drugs were too much,

But little Jenny remained untouched.

She stayed strong,

Even with all the partying,

She convinced herself there was nothing wrong,

And that she didn't need worrying.

For years little Jenny,

Who was only 6 years old,

Was doing the cooking, the cleaning, the laundry,

Her parents really had hearts of stone.

But one day,

Her dad made a mistake,

He hit little Jenny,

Just a little too brutally.

Little Jenny went to the hospital,

And the doctors told little Jenny,

That her condition could be fatal,

But little Jenny,

Was ready for the fight.

She survived,

And after 4 months in a hospital bed,

She was ready to go back to her life,

But when she exited the building,

Two men were waiting.

They said that her parents were in jail,

Little Jenny asked why,

The men told her it was because of their crime,

But they didn't say more,

And little Jenny knew it was a lie.

So little Jenny went in the car,

The car didn't go that far,

And she arrived at the House of lonely soul,

Her new house for the next 3 years,

Before new parents would come,

And listen to her fears.

Little Jenny made friends,

There was Ben,

And Emily the quiet one,

But all little Jenny wanted,

Was someone to care,

For her, the unwanted.

Little Jenny was terribly lonely,

Especially When Emily,

Got adopted by a French family,

Leaving little Jenny cruelly.

That's when she started dreaming,

Of having a big cottage,

There would be a spot for fishing,

And another one for swimming,

It would be a place where she had freedom,

And she would fill an album,

With all of her cottage moments,

And of all of her stunts.

But when she woke up,

She was still in her bed made of wood,

She thought in here she would live all her childhood,

But she still kept her hope up.

And one day,

Her life changed when the director,

Of the orphan center,

Came and said to her,

There is a family here to see you,

Dress up in our favorite color blue,

Finally her prayers,

Had been answered,

Someone wanted her,

And she finally got,

To wear her blue dress made of fur.

The people adopted her,

She went in her new mansion,

All her past became a blur,

To make place for the future.

Little Jenny was so happy,

She had found her family,

And they had a cottage,

That was right besides her old village.

The old village,

In which she lived with her other parents,

She really wanted to go to the cottage,

But when the car passed in her old village,

Her sadness became apparent.

Her new parents asked why,

Little Jenny murmured a lie,

And she silently cried,

And in hope,

Watched the birds in the sky.

She remembered that,

That time is over,

She is now free,

And she doesn't need to wonder,

If she could one day herself be.

------------------------------------------------------------

Little Jenny today is still happy,

She is today celebrating,

The 20th year she is free,

And she is also promising,

That if she has children,

She would treat them with all the respect there is on earth.
